Television writer Elliot Nash makes increasingly desperate attempts to raise money in order to pay off a blackmailing photographer who threatens to publish nude photos of Elliot's actress wife, Nell. Unable to sell his house quickly enough, Elliot concludes that he has no choice but to murder the blackmailer. He schemes to utilize the installation of Nell's cherished antique gazebo and its quick-drying cement foundation, but finds himself burying the wrong body.

TGWG announces open auditions for ‘STRANGER IN THE ATTIC' by John Kaasik, directed by Barb Mulligan. We are looking to cast a diverse group of performers. All roles are open to performers of all ethnicities. Roles available for 2 Women and 4 Men. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Please bring a resume & headshot or recent photo. No appointment necessary, BUT auditions will begin PROMPTLY at the start time listed.

AUDITION DATE: Tuesday January 10th, 2023 at 7:00p

PRODUCTION DATES: March 10, 11, 12* 17, 18, 19*. Shows are at 7:30pm, *Sunday matinees at 2pm.

SYNOPSIS: Brian, a true crime writer, receives a late-night visitor claiming to have all the details of a murder that has not happened yet. Defying pleas from his wife and his own better judgement to report this to the police, Brian decides to interview the stranger. Dana, Brian’s wife, becomes fearful Brian may be sympathizing with the murderer, as Brian helplessly allows himself to be drawn deeper into the plot.

BRIAN (30s) - A writer. He is unable to let go of the disappearance of his first wife.

DANA (30s) - Brian’s wife. Well grounded, intelligent and practical.

KENDRICK (30s) - Idealistic in a bad way. Refined, with a questionable sanity.

DOUGLAS (40-late 50s) - A lawyer. Arrogant, obnoxious, easy to dislike.

MARGARET (40-late 50s) - Douglas’ long suffering wife. Loyal.

HAL (Detective Nelson) (30-45) -A competent detective who follows unorthodox police procedures.
